Mazda MX-5

Here I will gather info about my best and the most enjoyable car so far, Mazda MX-5 2001 1.8 liter convertible. The car is a "daily beater" or whatever you would like to call it. It has been our only car for road use since we bought it, other cars we own are currently waiting for their time to come.

I "blame" my good friend for infecting Miata fever to me while my stay @ Japan in 2000. We had a rental MX-5 for one weekend, and we headed to Hakone's beautiful winding mountain roads. And I must admit, it was one of the most memoriable weekends in Japan. Later on life we both ended up owning MX-5's, and I still do. Here is few photos from that weekend trip:

I have been keeping a record of the fuel consumption from the day 1, and so far I have "missed" only two fuel fillings. Here is the data if you happen to be a curious. Currently showing consumption from 29.5.2003 to 20.11.2007. And for those who are too lazy to click, whole time avg. is 8.49l/100km.

Unfortunately my MX-5 did get to see the ugly side of the traffic on a normal average saturday on Nov.2006...
